New mum Zoe and her partner Antony first visited the First Encounters clinic when Zoe was just 7 weeks along, and they were so impressed that they stuck with us all the way through the pregnancy.

7 WEEKS

EarlyReassure™ Scan

Our EarlyReassure™ scan is available from 7 to 14 weeks, but Zoe and Antony came straight away at 7 weeks exactly because they wanted to confirm that Zoe was pregnant and get some reassurance that everything was going as planned.

This being their first pregnancy, the couple understandably had a lot of questions and concerns. Thankfully, the sonographer was able to put their minds at ease straight away and answer all the burning questions they had about their baby and Zoe’s pregnancy.

“Seeing our baby’s heartbeat for the first time was truly unforgettable” said Zoe. “Everyone at the clinic was so friendly and welcoming, and the sonographer was able to calm our nerves and explain everything so clearly. We couldn’t recommend going for an early scan with First Encounters more!”

16 WEEKS

GenderGrowth&Wellbeing™ Scan

Our GenderGrowth&Wellbeing™ scan is available from 16 to 32 weeks. Zoe and Antony decided to bring their families along to this scan, which took place when Zoe was 16 weeks pregnant.

The couple said that having their loved ones there really made the experience that much more special: “Our mums loved it! It was amazing to have everybody we care about there in the room, sharing such a special moment with us.”

After the scan, Zoe and Antony decided to purchase our Gender Reveal Bundle Box which comes with a 16” heartbeat teddy, two confetti cannons and two gender reveal scratch cards. The couple then had the scratch cards sent off so that a gender reveal cake could be made for their gender reveal party, where they celebrated with family and friends. (Spoiler: it was a boy!)

24 WEEKS

4DGrowth&Wellbeing™ Scan

Our 4DGrowth&Wellbeing™ scan is available from 24 to 32 weeks. Zoe and Antony’s first 4D scan took place when Zoe was 24 weeks along. Once again, they brought their families with them, and everyone was excited to see the little man’s face for the first time.

Antony described that first glimpse of his son’s face as “brilliant and surreal”. He also said that First Encounters “made a great experience even more memorable by creating such a relaxing atmosphere in the clinic”.

Luckily, the baby was perfectly positioned for his close-up, and the couple came home with some fantastic images of their little boy that they were extremely pleased with.

30 WEEKS

4D Scan Date Night

At 30 weeks, feeling like it had been a while since they had seen their baby, Zoe and Antony decided to book a second 4DGrowth&Wellbeing™ scan. This time they came just as a pair and treated the experience like a date night, which they said they would recommend to all soon-to-be parents.

“We were shocked at how big of a difference there was from 24 to 30 weeks,” said Antony. “Again, we got some fantastic photos and had another great experience at our second 4D scan.”

Antony and Zoe’s baby boy arrived in April 2024, and the couple were extremely pleased with their First Encounters Ultrasound experience over the course of the pregnancy.

“First Encounters really showed us that they were there to support us every step of the way,” said the couple. “This is our first baby, and there were a lot of ups and downs throughout the pregnancy, but we can happily say some of the best ups were shared in that room at First Encounters. We can’t thank the team enough!”
